Corporate sponsorships.

Drag racing has changed immensely since the early days. When I first started drag racing in the mid 60’s, corporate sponsorships were virtually unheard of. Hence the saying "We Did It for Love". It was more common to hear names such as the "Snake", the "Mongoose", the "Zoo Keeper", the "King", the "Assassin", the "Ace", and the "Joker" to name a few. Obviously, times have changed. We now hear familiar product names like "Miller-Lite", "Budweiser", "Army", "Castrol", "Skoal Racing", and "Oakley" for starters not to mention that the NHRA Drag Racing Series is sponsored by Powerade. It’s clear that drag racing today is largely funded by U.S. corporate dollars. In return, drag racing provides cost effective advertising for such businesses.

Who are we?

The Hadford Racing Operation is based out of Everett, WA. The racecar is a front engined fuel injected alcohol dragster and is currently owned and driven by myself. The crew members consist of family members and close friends. At this time, we’re competing in NHRA Comp Eliminator and Goodguys Jr Fuel Dragster classes along the West Coast. I have many years of driving experience including a ’68 Comp Eliminator World Championship which grants me access to all National Events. My objective is to race competitively on a full-time basis and give the fans a good showing.

Why Comp Eliminator?

I have raced Top Fuel Funny Car in the past, but the cost is unsightly today. The typical cost to successfully run a Top Fuel Car these days is $2-3M dollars. A Top Alcohol Car is $1M + dollars. Likewise, a Pro-Stock Car is ~$1M dollars. A Comp Eliminator Car can be run competitively for $125-$250K. Although fans flock to Top Fuel, there’s still a significant following with Top Alcohol, Pro-Stock, and Comp Eliminator. In particular, Comp Eliminator contains some of the more unusual (but very cool) combinations in all of NHRA sportsman racing. Everything from altereds and dragsters with a variety of engine combinations to full bodied cars. Comp Eliminator given the exorbitant costs associated with the professional classes begins to look appealing financially when all things are considered.

What can we offer your company?

Your company will have the ability to increase product awareness potentially leading to increased sales not to mention the pure excitement of being affiliated with drag racing itself. You’ll be able to reach racetrack fans like never before, people at local car shows, racecar enthusiasts throughout the country, and the general public on our highways to and from races.

Company logo.

We can display your company logo on the racecar, truck, trailer, and crew members shirts. Also, we can distribute t-shirts with your company logo and handout promotional literature.

Media Exposure.

Currently available to the drag racing community are National Dragster (300,000 weekly circulation), Goodguys Gazette (150,000 monthly circulation), local newspapers, and several other motorsports publications. Also, there’s television footage and local radio station coverage. We also maintain this website with updates on the latest news and new pictures including links to our sponsors’ websites to increase traffic. The winner of Comp Eliminator at a national event is also featured on the cover of National Dragster plus the final round of Comp Eliminator is featured on ESPN 2. NHRA also updates their website on a round by round basis so fans can follow the latest action.

Drag Racing Fans.

Currently, there are 100,000 NHRA members worldwide, 23 National Races in prime market locations attracting up to 100,000 fans per event, and 7 Divisional Races attracting up to 20,000 fans per event.

Also, there are 53,000 Goodguys members worldwide and 9 nostalgia drag race events countrywide attracting up to 75,000 auto enthusiasts per event.

This adds up to a lot of exposure in a short period of time.
